Azeem Ibrahim was brought up in Glasgow. In recent years, he has turned himself into a highly successful and wealthy businessman which has recently seen him being inaugurated into the Sunday Times Scots Rich List.
Much of Azeem’s time is now devoted to charitable works, of which PURIFI is the latest. In particular, he is intent on building a £1m endowment for his
Benevolence Fund, which gives Bosnian students a postgraduate education in Europe that they then use to help their home communities.
Azeem has also set up
Unity Family Services, a Scottish family-counselling charity which goes beyond marriage counselling to provide solutions to family problems..
Abid Arai – Trustee and Secretary
Abid has as several years experience in high level project management and development in both the private & public sector ranging from PFI (Private Finance Initiatives), Contract Management & Leadership with his core assets in delivering projects in line with budgetary constraints and tight deadlines.
Currently he is Director of a UK private sector development company based in the city and has supported various charitable organisations. He was also the founder of a children’s nursery and has spent the past fifteen years as a professional coach and took a pivotal step towards learning & speaking Japanese in his youth.
